CHARLOTTE, NC - Police are searching for the driver who caused a multi-car accident Sunday Morning.

It happened around 2:30 on Independence Boulevard near Sharon Amity Road.

Officers say three cars were waiting at a stop light, when the driver of a red truck hit the vehicle in the back. The truck then swerved and hit a curb and swerved again hitting the car closest to the stoplight.

The car in the middle of the mess was not hit.

The driver of the truck ran away from the scene after the accident, leaving his truck behind.

No injuries were reported.
