Attorney Lawrence Brenner, Of Counsel

Lawrence H. Brenner serves as of-counsel to the Law Office of D. Hardison Wood. Jointly representing clients with our firm on select cases, Larry primarily focuses in the areas of complex litigation and medical malpractice. He received his JD from Boston College (’71) where he was a finalist in the moot court competition and a B.A. from Wayne State University (’68) where he was a distinguished intercollegiate debater and was voted the country’s best freshman debater at the University of Chicago National Novice Debate Tournament. Larry was a staff attorney for the Toledo Legal Aid Society (1971 – 1972) and served as the Founder and Director of the Migrant Workers Legal Aid Society in Fremont, Ohio (1972 – 1973). Larry was also an associate attorney at Cubbon & Goldberg and a partner at Jones, Giha, Schell, Brenner & Company, LPA, Brenner & Conn and Brenner & Brenner, P.A. (2001 – 2006). He was in solo practice from 1980 until 2001. Larry has maintained a national practice for thirty years and in addition to representing plaintiffs, he has served as lead counsel on criminal defense cases, alient tort cliam cases, patent cases, and other complex commercial matters. In one such case, Larry served as lead trial counsel in a matter that, at the time, resulted in the largest personal injury verdict in Dade County, Florida history. He has tried numerous cases in North Carolina to a successful verdict in favor of the plaintiff, and through his advocacy, has resolved countless other cases successfully during mediation or negotiations with the other side.
