Cary, NC Car Accident Fatality Rate Versus Raleigh, NC

When compared to its neighboring urban counterpart of Raleigh, NC, Cary has a much lower rate of fatal car accidents for the both 2007 and 2008. In 2008, the fatal car accident count was only listed as 2, a number which actually decreased from the 5 fatal accidents reported in 2007. With 3 fatalities reported in 2008 (and 5 fatalities in 2007), only one of those fatalities was listed as being caused by a drunken driver. Cary has a very small number reported for pedestrians involved in fatal accidents. In 2008, Cary listed no pedestrian fatalities from traffic accident, while in 2007 2 fatal pedestrian accidents were listed.
